Cryotherapy is generally safe for most healthy people when it’s performed by trained staff, and you follow all pre-session instructions. That said, it isn’t right for everyone. You should not do cryotherapy if you’re pregnant, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, poor circulation, or cold-related conditions (like Raynaud’s). If you have any medical concerns, check with your healthcare provider before booking.
Cryotherapy can support a weight-loss routine, but it isn’t a standalone weight-loss treatment. Some people use it to help with things like recovery, soreness, inflammation, and consistency with training—all of which can indirectly support fitness goals. While cold exposure may cause your body to burn extra calories temporarily, results vary, and the biggest drivers of weight loss are still nutrition, activity, sleep, and lifestyle.
It depends on your goal:
- Cryo sculpting has a recommended 6 session treatment plan.
- Recovery/soreness or athletic training: 2–4 sessions per week.
- We can recommend a schedule based on your goals, activity level, and how your
body responds.
